Is Perplexity better than Gemini?

For research and fact-checking, Perplexity is usually the better fit because it searches the web and cites sources on every answer. Gemini is better if you work in Google’s apps, use Android, or want images and video. Many people use both.

Which is more accurate, Perplexity or Gemini?

In a 2025 European Broadcasting Union and BBC study of news answers, Gemini had significant issues in 76% of responses, the worst of four assistants tested. In the Tow Center’s 2025 citation test, Perplexity had the lowest error rate of eight tools at 37%. Both still make mistakes, so check the sources.

Is Perplexity Pro or Google AI Pro better value?
