Perplexity pricing questions
How much does Perplexity cost?
Perplexity has a free plan. Pro costs $20 a month and Max costs $200 a month or $2,000 a year (US prices, October 2026). Enterprise plans are priced per seat, and education discounts are available for verified students and educators.
Is Perplexity free?
Yes. The free plan includes unlimited quick searches, limited Pro Search and Deep Research, a few file uploads a day, Spaces and the Comet browser.
Is there an annual Perplexity Pro plan?
Yes. Pro is widely reported at $200 a year on the web, about $16.67 a month. Max is $2,000 a year on the web, per Perplexity’s help center.
What’s the difference between Pro and Max?
Max includes everything in Pro, plus the top models (GPT-5.6 Sol and Claude Opus 5), Model Council, 10,000 Perplexity Computer credits a month, the Max Assistant in Comet and priority support.
Does Perplexity Pro include the API?
No. API usage is billed separately from Free, Pro and Max subscriptions. See our API pricing guide.
Should I subscribe on the web or in the app?
Perplexity recommends upgrading on the web to avoid duplicate subscriptions. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are billed and cancelled through those stores, and prices can differ by store and country.
Can I get a refund?
Perplexity’s refund policy allows refunds within 14 days in the EU, UK and Turkey, 7 days in South Korea and Brazil, and elsewhere within 24 hours for monthly or 72 hours for annual plans. App Store refunds go through Apple.
